The first weather barrier is the 100-denier Ballistic Tough Coat nylon ripstop, specifically-formulated and urethane-coated on each side to withstand rain and snow. All the bag’s seams have been taped as well, meaning water can’t seep in, even if you find yourself in a truly turgid downpour. Other than weather-resistance, the bag has a generous thirty litre capacity, able to accommodate more-than a day’s worth of gear and provisions. And then there’s the removable lid, which can be converted into a lumbar-style pack for shorter hikes if you decide to take the Storm Pack camping.Â
